Foodon Academy is the first and only tuition-free Culinary Academy for vulnerable groups. It is an organization that offers all the necessary tools to people in need through knowledge, enabling them to make a fresh start in their lives.
It teaches the art of cooking, not only as a skill but also as a way of life, while simultaneously connecting participants with the job market, promoting both personal and professional development.
In collaboration with A Promise to Animals, it initiated a free scholarship program, giving participants the chance to discover how traditional dishes can take on a new, vegan twist.
Vegan chef Dimitra Magklara shared her knowledge and presented an exciting adventure into the world of Vegan cooking, redefining the art of food creation with vegetarian products. Participants engaged in free training and received a certificate of attendance.
The goal was to create a community filled with hope and opportunities for every person who wants to evolve having cooking as their tool of choice, through personal empowerment and social integration.
To date, Foodon has successfully completed 86 initiatives, including social meals and trainings, while simultaneously helping 5,760 participants. 32 different private companies have trusted its work and have contributed financially donations, as well as through products, services, and the provision of equipment.
